Reading Response 3: Mid-20th Century

 Complete a written response in which you analyze “Good Country People” (Flannery O’Connor), “Mother Who Gave Me Life,” “In the Park” (Gwen Harwood) and “The Women Men Don’t See” (Alice B. Sheldon). Your response should address the following: How do the authors/characters in these readings reflect the cultural issues and concerns present after impact of World War II, the Cold War and the Third World (p. 554-561 in the textbook)?
