Description Each small group of 1-3 students will select a country to study in comparison to the United States. You will prepare a 7-10 minute presentation arguing why or why not the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the best plan for U.S. health care reform. This argument will take into consideration the country you have chosen to study, your knowledge of how its system is designed and works, and how you would match this up our current system/ACA. This is an argument, so you will need to provide evidence supporting why you are taking your stance. If you do not believe that the ACA is moving the U.S. health care system down the right path, please specify a preferred alternated direction. If you feel it is the right direction, but does not go far enough, please specify what else is needed. If you feel that the ACA is the best plan in its current state, please specify which aspects make it the best plan for most Americans. You may provide a visual or PowerPoint presentation to accompany your talk but are not required to. However, the key here is to engage your audience and know your material. If you choose to use visual materials, please be clear that they are prompts or accompaniments, and that you are not reading from them. You do not have to produce a full paper, but you will need to submit a PowerPoint, outline, or other summary with your references for the group. This is meant to be brief and capture the highlights and insights of your presentation, as well as cite your sources. This may be 1-2 pages in length, or your PowerPoint itself.
