TEST BLUEPRINT

Test Blueprint….(this is a continuation of the previous assignment that was made) Directions Design a test blueprint for a pre-test for nursing students, nursing staff, or community/patients based on the curriculum created in the Unit 3 Assignment. This Assignment is designed to assess the level of knowledge of your chosen population from Unit 3 Assignment before presenting the course content. This is what a test blueprint is all about: Ensuring you have the right types and levels of difficulty of test questions. Whether the questions are used to assess the learner’s level of knowledge beforecontent is delivered or judge if the learner’s knowledge after the intervention is where it should be is not the point of a test blueprint. The test blueprint will help with the development and revision of the curriculum you have created to this point. Complete a test blueprint to help identify what the population knows from a pre-test. The test blueprint for your pre-test will need to contain the following: • Three to five course outcomes • Appropriate level of Bloom’s Taxonomy for each outcome based upon your chosen population with rational and citations • Number of questions related to the outcomes based upon the total number of questions which will need to reflect the population (e.g., x questions/y total [nursing student questions may total 100, but nursing staff may total 10 versus 5 for community/patients; weighted total needs to be 100%]) • The weighted percentage each item represents from the course content • Appropriate testing methodology for the chosen population. Include rational with appropriate citations (e.g., low income, illiterate patient would not be given a written pre-test, but a picture, image, or slide presentation to choose the answer from). Remember there are many different types of testing methodologies: Pictograms, pen-and-paper exams, computerized drag and drop, and so on. *****Use this template to complete the Assignment.***** To view the Grading Rubric for this Assignment, please visit the Grading Rubrics section of the Course Resources.
